Glimeria – UX Narrative Prototype
Glimeria is a short narrative prototype designed as part of a UX research project on emotional interaction in games.
You wake up near a strange magical village, holding a mysterious book that seems to react to your choices. Through simple interactions, you meet expressive characters and uncover a story shaped by emotion.
This experimental project explores how micro-interactions and narrative design can evoke feelings like guilt, curiosity, or attachment—without relying on complex mechanics or traditional UI.
Playtime: 10–15 minutes
Best experienced with sound and fullscreen.
What is this?
This is a mini serious game prototype created to explore how simple interaction systems can trigger emotional responses such as curiosity, guilt, or attachment.
Built in a short format, it aims to test:
-
Emotional engagement through micro-narratives
-
Player-NPC emotional connection
-
Interaction design stripped of traditional UI layers
Why this project?
Glimeria is part of a UX design exploration during my final year of studies. The goal was to create a game that, while limited in scope, delivers a concentrated interactive experience focused on emotion, immersion, and player-NPC interaction loops. This is not a full game, but rather a playable prototype intended to demonstrate how design choices in small experiences can be used to trigger strong emotional responses.
